Clemson's Blackwell gets chance to control defense

CLEMSON â€" David Blackwell knows he has a tough act to follow. As a co-defensive coordinator along with Ron West, Blackwell, a member of the Clemson coaching staff for the past six seasons, is getting to do something he has wanted to do for a while â€" put his own imprint on the Tigers' defense when it takes the field against Nebraska in Thursday's Gator Bowl.

Stingrays rally on Dubuc's 12th

Michael Dubuc scored his 12th goal of the year, a game-winner in the third period to lead the South Carolina Stingrays over the Mississippi Sea Wolves 3-2 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday night. "I didn't really like the way we played in the first period," said coach Jared Bednar. "But the final 40 were a different story. We really competed hard in the last two periods."
