2008 came to an end with an unfortunate bang for folks in Tennessee who are now living through what may be the country's worst manmade environmental disaster. We've got three great pieces this week that look at what happened in the coal ash spill, what to be concerned about, and who we need to hold accountable. Oh, and there's some pictures, too, which are truly astounding. Stay tuned for more on this and its effects on watersheds as things develop. We've also got other great content -- check out the interview with Peter Gleick on how to solve California's water crisis; the story about how the energy crisis may threaten drinking water for millions of Americans; and a first person account of living on just 13 gallons of water a day in the developed world.
