MONCKS CORNER â" For the first time in its history, the Berkeley County School District has gone outside of the Palmetto State to pick a new superintendent. The school board unanimously voted Sunday to offer Anthony Parker, a longtime North Carolina educator, a three-year contract worth $195,000 a year.
