High Con Art

With the news that accused scam artist investor Bernie Madoff put up a trio of homes to cover his $10 million bond at a federal courthouse in Manhattan, we take a look inside the mind of a con man -- to see how they operate and how their victims are duped. "Nightline" correspondent John Donvan reports.

Tiger Temple

Over nearly a decade, a temple in the heart of the Thai jungle has been building a tiger population that now far outnumbers the seven monks who live and pray there. And the temple has become a major tourist attraction, providing visitors a hands-on experience they can't find (and may not want to) in an American zoo. But these monks and their tame tigers have generated critics, who accuse the temple of everything from drugging the animals to illegally trafficking them. The monks stand by their temple, as Clarissa Ward reports.

Throwing Shoes It's a cultural message that's among the lowest forms of insult in Iraq, but that was lost in translation for many Americans, who instead -- for whatever reason and regardless of political persuasion -- found humor in the pair of Size 10s that an Iraqi journalist managed to hurl at President George W. Bush before being pulled down. Needless to say, pop culture swooned, as ABC News correspondent David Wright reports.

We hope you'll join us.
