There was more bad news for the McCain campaign today. The New York Times reported that the Republican Party has just bought up between $300,000 and $400,000 of ad time in Montana, a traditionally red state. As the Times states, Montana "is rarely ever considered in need of defending for Republicans during presidential campaigns."

The need to pour money into red states is yet another sign of how much the McCain campaign is struggling in the final days before the election.
