The Economy:
Major banks have upped their efforts to curtail losses from the mortgage crisis, and Citigroup Inc. is the latest to institute initiatives aimed at helping borrowers remain in their homes. Citigroup announced a six-month moratorium on most foreclosures, which will give some homeowners much needed time. Additionally, the Treasury Department is giving a tax break to companies willing to acquire banks hurt by the mortgage crisis, and some say the break could total as much as $140 billion. ABC's Betsy Stark reports.
Superbug:
C. difficile is the new superbug infecting more than 7,000 hospitalized patients on any given day, according to one researcher. Learn about the new disease spreading through hospitals across the country from ABC's Lisa Stark tonight.

TV in 2008:
Though 27 percent of households now have a DVR, it may not be killing TV after all. A report by the American Marketing Association says that 74 percent of viewers who are fast-forwarding through commercials are still looking at the center of the screen leaving advertisers a little time to grab a consumer. ABC's Ned Potter reports.
