Cops say players' arrests by the book
Backup sophomore defensive tackle Brandon Wood, 21, was pulled over by UGA police at 2:11 a.m. on East Campus Road for driving his black Ford Explorer without headlights following Georgia's homecoming win over Vanderbilt. A passenger in the SUV, starting offensive tackle Vince Vance, also was jailed.

Marcus Vick pleads guilty to drunk driving
Norfolk authorities say Vick also was convicted Monday of eluding police and driving on the wrong side of the road. The 24-year-old brother of former Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick was arrested in June after fleeing an officer who saw him involved in a dispute with a woman.

Woman, 89, snatches kids' football
Police in Ohio say Edna Jester faces a charge of petty theft because neighborhood children accused her of refusing to give back their football. She was arrested last week in the Cincinnati suburb of Blue Ash.
