Equifax's third quarter earnings rise
Despite the tough economic climate and a drop in revenue, Atlanta-based Equifax's revenue was $484 million in the third quarter, a 2 percent decrease from the same period a year ago, when it was $493 million. Net income was $72.3 million, or 56 cents per share, for the period ended Sept. 30. The year before, it was $67.9 million or 48 cents per share.
