"I Have a Dream"
Everyone remembers part of this speech, but like most famous speeches, its best parts are the ones most of us forgot or never knew. Consider this piece, which seems very current in today's climate: "But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice."

Barack Obama on Civil Liberties
Obama was a civil rights attorney for several years, and strongly supports affirmative action. However, not everyone is happy: he opposes same-sex marriage, leading some gay rights groups to question his commitment to the civil rights of gay Americans.
