Tomorrow's the big day -- a chance for millions of voters to make a statement about the issues that matter the most to them, like health care. A combination of income inequality and lack of universal health care has left America with declining life expectancies, out-of-control obesity and, generally, abysmal world health rankings. Providing universal health care is arguably the most crucial step a more progressive administration can take to heal the country, writes Sara Robinson in this week's top Health & Wellness story. That's because having coverage for all would do more than just improve health; it would make a statement about the good government can do and show that it makes little sense for people to just go it alone when, in fact, we can do so much more if we work together. If we're lucky, that hope will become reality sooner than we think.
