Man dies after boat hits navigation marker

A boater was killed when his boat hit a navigational marker in the dark on the Intracoastal Waterway near Georgetown late Friday. Ed Fountain, 68, of Timmonsville, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, the Coast Guard said Saturday. A second man in the boat was injured.
