My father claims that he's never buying a car again. This is partly because he loves his truck (Buster, and no, I'm not making that up) and partly because in the ten years since he bought Buster, cars have become so crazily expensive that it gives him agita just to think about buying one.

My feeling is, for what most cars cost, you should be able to live in them (and not because your car payments are so high, you can't afford to live anywhere else).
