Reptiles more popular pets than dogs Posted: 24 Nov 2008 01:00 AM CST
If growth continues as it has done, then reptiles may overtake the 9 million cats in the UK to become Britain’s most popular pet. Chris Newman, chairman of the British Federation of Herpetologists, said: “There are now, without question, more pet reptiles than pet dogs in the UK. You only have to look at the way the market has grown. I have no doubt that there are now between seven and eight million reptiles living as pets in the UK. “Reptiles’ popularity as mainstream pets has grown immensely. There has been an explosion in numbers. They have moved from being niche to being mainstream. “They are far more suitable as pets than are animals which are perceived as more traditional pets, such as cats, dogs and small mammals. Reptiles fit today’s modern lifestyles as they are less time-consuming, and can also be easier to keep, than other traditional pet species.” Related Posts |

Ferry's son Isaac, 22 previously dated Sheppard and was previously involved in a bizarre incident with police when they questioned him for having a lighter that resembled a gun. It's thought that the couple have been dating for a couple of months now. Judging by the picture it ooks like Santa brought Bryan a nice early Christmas present. Well, at least it gives The Daily Dust an excuse to play some Roxy Music:

Arsenal collapse continues as ‘Big Four’ get shut out Posted: 23 Nov 2008 02:09 PM CST What odds would you have gotten on all four of the ‘Big Four’ failing to score a goal this weekend? We have no idea, but you’d be a rich man if you’d made that bet. Only Arsenal managed to lose as well, getting thumped 3-0 by Man City in a result that had Wenger at his ‘hear no evil, see no evil’ best afterwards as reporters dared to ask about the Billy Gallas situation. In other results, the tightest league in recent memory continued as Spurs climbed out of the relegation zone by beating 10-man Blackburn while Bolton beat Middlesbrough and Pompey drew Hull. There’s only a handful of points separating 6th from 16th while Chelsea and Liverpool have pulled clear at the top without much of a fuss. Sunderland 0-1 West Ham Related Posts |
