 | Hi everyone, We’ll begin tonight with the astounding allegations against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. He’s accused of trying to “sell” Barack Obama’s Senate seat, among other charges. In announcing the arrest, U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said “the conduct would make Lincoln turn over in his grave.” Blagojevich is also accused of trying to strong-arm the Chicago Tribune into firing members of the paper’s editorial board. Dean Reynolds reports from Chicago and Jeff Greenfield joins us to shed some light on the history of corruption … in Illinois politics. In Washington, lawmakers are still hammering out some final details of the proposed $15 billion auto industry bailout.
