Daily Feng Shui Tip

Dear Astrology Enthusiast,
Here is your Daily Feng Shui Tip for Saturday, October 18

On this day in 1898, the last of the Spanish troops left Puerto Rico after the Spanish-American war. When I think about Puerto Rico one of the associations I make with this tropical island besides exotic hideaways and beautiful white sand beaches is ... rum! And, believe it or not, rum is also an active and pivotal ingredient in many Feng Shui cleansing cures. In fact, one of the most potent and powerful house cleansings that can be performed depends a great deal on the addition of this alcohol. Take any wooden bowl and fill 70 percent up with uncooked rice. Add sea or kosher salt and fill to the top. Now, add drops of rum that equate to how many years you are old, the one more. So, if you are 32 years old you would add 33 drops of rum. Taking the pointer finger from the hand you write with, stir this mix in a clockwise direction that same amount of times. Then take the mix outdoors and beginning at your front door walk the perimeter of your space in a clockwise direction throwing the cleansing mixture around the base of the house. If you live in a common space you can do this indoors around the perimeter of your main floor, leave the rice/salt/rum there for 24 hours, and then vacuum. While you are distributing the mixture visualize all negative energies leaving and only purely positive ones coming to your space. This works like a charm and doesn't leave you with a hangover!
Warm Regards,
Ellen Whitehurst

Tarot of the Journey to the Orient:
The Temperance card suggests that my alter ego today is the Mediator, whose superpower for negotiation lies in my innate ability to create the right chemistry within a particular situation. I am a continual work in progress. I strive for equality, balance and compatibility -- driven by my innate sense of fairness. This provides a certain degree of predictability in my actions, and is my recipe for success. As in all things truly worthwhile in life, love is an art, sketched and painted atop a canvas of mutual respect. Such a foundation allows only for the occasional brush stroke to cover a mixed message or misunderstanding, and avoid use of the paint roller. Take it one day at a time, valuing all things with such an openness as to provide not only the proper balance, but to allow for proper action when needed.
