| | Your baby wants to communicate with you, but might not have the words yet. Do your best to understand what they are saying, so they get encouragement to try to talk some more. You'll be proud. | |
| This is a great day for your kiddo to meet some new people. Perhaps you can take them to the park or the playground and let them make some new friends. You might meet some interesting parents there too. |
| Your little tyke has a keen awareness of their surroundings -- they notice everything all the time. Use that to your advantage (like when you misplace your car keys, they may be able to point you in the right direction). |
| It may take some coaxing to get your little one to come out of their shell. They've been feeling a little reserved and shy lately, but now is the time to help them move on. You both will feel better. |
| Break out the noisemakers and funny hats -- it's time for a party! You need not wait until your baby's birthday to throw a big celebration. Get some cake and streamers and just have a good time. |

| Your kiddo wants to experience something new. Take them to a park you've never been to, or perhaps out to the next exhibit at the children's museum. They will enjoy taking in something so fascinating and novel. |
| Your little tyke may find that taking that risk won't pay off as they anticipate. Trying to balance that stool on top of the dog as a way to get to the cookie jar on top of the cabinet? Won't work. |
| Your little one has a lot of social engagements going on -- which may seem surprising for someone so young. But they have big, fancy tea parties to attend and house seats for the puppet show. |
| Go ahead and have you little one cut to the chase: what do they really want. You can waste a lot of time playing games trying to figure this out. If they want three bedtime stories, invite them to ask for them. |
| Your little one will find a creative way to communicate with others. If they don't have the right words yet, they'll find that they can point and mime to get the point across. And it will work. |
| Your little one enjoys multi-tasking. Like they can suck their thumbs, hold their blankie, carry their favorite stuffed animal, dance a little dance, and spill their cereal. All at once. Bravo. |
