Playing computer game Tetris can help reduce post traumatic stress disorder, scientists have discovered. An Oxford University team found moving the blocks around occupies the part of the brain that retains bad memories. But Dr Emily Holmes, who led the research, said: “There is a lot to be done to translate this result into a potential treatment.” If this is proven, will Nintendo have a new market place? Andy Murray reached the final of the Qatar Open as defending champion with another win over Roger Federer. The victory 6-7 (6-8) 6-2 6-2 was Murray’s fifth win against the former world number one in his last seven ATP meetings. Federer claimed the first set after a close tie-break, but Murray responded to comfortably take the second and third. Andy now faces American Andy Roddick in the final on Saturday. His second final in a week.

Following the campaign saying “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” The ASA has received a complaint. Earlier this week we wrote about the There Is No God campaign on buses through out the UK. Posters with the slogan appear on 800 buses in England, Scotland and Wales, as well as on the London Underground. The organisation Christian Voice, has complained to the Advertising Standards Authority saying they break rules on substantiation and truthfulness. The British Humanist Association, which backed the campaign, said it was not taking the complaint seriously.

Performing live on BBC 1 tonight will be the first taste of a live TV performance for Francine and Nicola, Jade, Mark, Damien, Charlotte and the Emperors of Cool, as they put themselves forward to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest. From the six contestants, one will be chosen through public voting to fly to the Olympic stadium in Moscow to sing for our country on May 16th. All the contestants have been given Lloyd Webber's home phone number to call for advice whenever they feel the need. Unfortunately the BBC report that "the musical Lord admits that he is unable to text and cannot get to grips with mobile phones." Tonight's show will open with a group performance of Abba's Waterloo, and proceed to showcase the six acts chosen last week. Steve McPhail of the British National Oceanography Centre in Southampton is rightly proud of his autonomous submarine. It can reach depths of 1,600m (almost 5,000 feet) and travel 400 kilometres before it needs a fresh battery. And like any good University researcher, McPhail has designed his sub to be economical. which is why the power source is sure to raise eyes if he ever pops down to his local supermarket. The submarine runs on regular torch batteries. 5,000 of them to be exact. The sub and its mothership have left Chile for a 54 day cruise, to include time under the ice cap of the Southern regions. The results of the first eviction have just been announced to the Housemates, and Lucy Pinder will be walking out to face the crowds and the mighty eviction interview from Davina McCall. With 57% of the vote it's likely that her time in the house will be retold via The Daily Star over the next week. Her true thoughts on all the housemates will be expected to be in print on Sunday. She was up against Ulrika Jonnson, who was all set to head home to her seven month old baby, and is distraught at remaining in the house. "I’m not fine," Ulrika sobbed, "I’m not having a good time." As she has just found out, the British public have a habit of placing their support behind any voting that will cause embarrassment. Iceland, the frozen food retailer has bucked the trend and created some jobs in England, 2500 to be exact. Just three days after the final Woolworths store closed for good, Iceland has stepped in and purchased 51 stores, creating 2500 jobs.
