    3 New-to-You Fruits

Even the biggest fruit fanatic (and we love us some fresh produce) can be taught a new trick or two. Okay, maybe even three. HealthGal nutritionist Amy Hendel suggests starting with these three new-to-you fruits.
    • Acai: Scoop them up as dried berries, brew them in tea, or munch them in cereals. These antioxidant-rich Brazilian berries are so versatile you can get a taste of them almost anywhere, including energy drinks and even as a brand-new Jelly Belly flavor.
    • Pluots: A quirky plum/apricot combo, pluots are perfectly sweet. Slice them fresh and add to salads, or use them dried and add to cereal and muffins or mixed with nuts for a great snack.
    • Dragon fruit: Rich in vitamin C and fiber, this native of South America and Southeast Asia adds a wonderful new taste to gum or served in Asian restaurants as a sweet dessert.

There has certainly been a lot of talk about Obama's plans for energy, and thank goodness. But what about water? Especially considering how closely intertwined the two are? This week, Kyle Rabin takes a closer look at this issue.

On the other hand, the Bush Administration it appears, has been covering up blocked cases where water pollution concerns were not addressed, the Environment New Service has reported, in a shocking story.

The good news is that Maude Barlow and FLOW producer Steven Starr presented 20,000 signatures on a petition to the UN to have water declared a human right. Read their story and watch the accompanying video about it and then go to Article31.org to sign it yourself.
