 | Oct. 17, 2008 Hi, everyone! Coming up on The Early Show Saturday Edition: We will continue to attack the economic meltdown. Our money maven, Ray Martin, will be here to show us how to set up a monthly budget: what to save, what you can spend, and what's left over. It's key to making it through these tough times. "I will beat you down." That's how my co-anchor, Erica Hill, greets me on Saturday mornings! Now, in a segment on women's self-defense, we'll see firsthand just how tough she is! The Girls Fight Back organization will be our plaza, and we'll show you at home how to protect yourself in the event of an attack. Trainer to the Stars -- and The Early Show -- Sarah Robichaud, will be on hand to talk about and demonstrate "family exercise" -- how to get parents and the kids off the couch and working out together. Some kids will actually get so tired from the workout, they'll want to go right to bed! Maybe not, but it's a great way for the entire family to stay healthy. Also on the program: Olympian Carl Lewis and Anthony Shriver, founder of "Best Buddies," will stop by to discuss the charity. Best Buddies gives those with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to make friends and gain employment. We'll help celebrate its 20th anniversary.
We'll also do some fall camping, have a live preview of the cat show at Madison Square Garden and cook with our "Chef on a Shoestring." Our big reveal for the weekend -- the stars of our "Second Cup Café" -- BLUES TRAVELER! They're back with a new album, new harmonicas, and new beards! See you tomorrow, early. ------------------------------------------ Russ Mitchell
